The outsiders essay

Planning Gather and Order ideas:
Pony boy, how he changed after the fire in the church When he met cherri valance When johnny died When he got hit by darry Introduction: Ponyboy was the main character in the novel “the outsider” through out the novel, ponyboy changed many times. Most of the changes were bad but most of the were also good.

SEXXXY 1:In the novel ‘the outsiders’ a main character ponyboy, showed many changes throughout the novel In the novel ‘ the outsiders’ ponyboy was just a cause 16 year old boy part of a gang called the greasers. He went to the nightly double with his gang member and there they met a girl named cherri valance. Ponyboy changed the way he was and acted nicer to cherri This shows the reader that ponyboy’s heart is not mean at all but is a nice kind person S.E Hinton did this effectively to show the differences of gangs and non gang members This is then showed again later in the novel when the greasers were about to have a rumble and ponyboy had feelings for cherri when they talked.

SEXXXY 2:Pony boy got hit by darry his older brother and decided to run away from home Ponyboy got home late after the nightly double and darry was mad that he was late. Ponyboy tried to explain what happen but darry then hit ponyboy causing ponyboy to ran away back to johnny. Family can be tough at the age of 21 but this also means that you shouldn't really be back home late This shows that darry was just protective of ponyboy because he did not want to lose him liked he lost his parents in a car crash This was also further in the novel with the big rumble. Darry asked ponyboy if he was okay cause ponyboy was pretty sick and not feeling very well

SEXXXY 3:Not only did pony-boy changed the way he acted but he changed when there was a fire at the place he was staying at when he ran away After pony boy ran away from darry hitting him, he then went into a church. A couple f days after when he was about to go home, the church caught on fire and in a instance ponyboy jumped into the burning church to save the children inside of it Ponyboy didn't think at all when he saw the burning church and heard that there were children inside of it and he changed to go and save them This proves to us that when people are in a tough situation, they don't think at all and try to get out of it or try and get through it This was shown a bit further in the novel when pony boy was in the rumble and he changed when he got into the rumble

SEXXXY 4:Ponyboy was happy until johnny died Ponyboy was a bit sick but was also happy that the rumble had finished. He then went to johnny in the hospital to tell him the good news.johnny asked ponyboy to lean closer and johnny said to pony boy “stay gold” then johnny died causing ponyboy to change his feelings and to go from happy to straight up miserable Ponyboy loved johnny as johnny was the gangs pet. Johnny helped ponyboy ran away. Ponyboy was very sad to lose his best friend This show to us how easy it is to go from one emotion to quickly move to another emotions in seconds This was also shown near the start of the novel when ponyboy was sad when his parents had a car crash and he was thinking of them and started to get sad

Conclusion: In conclusion ponyboy changed very much, but that was just a few of them in the novel “the outsiders” by S.E Hinton
